Trip to New York: let's celebrate Thanksgiving!

Trip to New York: let's celebrate Thanksgiving!

This is how Jack Kerouac spoke about New York : “It was too much to believe it was true; so complicated, immense, unfathomable. And so beautiful, seen from afar; canyons of shadow and light, bursts of sun on the crystal facades, and the pink twilight crowning the skyscrapers like backgroundless shadows draped over powerful abysses”.

The writer's great love for this city is evident: we want you to capture these emotions with the liveliness and cosmopolitanism that has always distinguished the city. With the traditions that each people has brought with them from their country of origin, even recreating their own neighborhood within the city. With the now historic architecture of its skyscrapers and the admirably redeveloped industrial districts. You will be able to enjoy the parks, the museums, have the opportunity to participate in the great Thanksgiving celebration and the magic of the Christmas period!

Breakfast in the hotel. Free meals. Today is Thanksgiving Day! Thanksgiving is the day of the Macy's Parade in New York, the most famous parade in the Big Apple, an incredible parade of masked floats, giant hot air balloons, music, dance and colors along Sixth Avenue.

This event of Christian origin is observed throughout the United States and Canada, a sign of gratitude for the profits of the harvests and for all the good things had during the year, which has roots in the 17th century: when the Pilgrim Fathers migrated to America, they found inhospitable and not very fertile soil, which they were unable to exploit with their knowledge of sowing and cultivation, encountering an arid winter that starved them. The Native Americans intervened by teaching them how to best sow and cultivate agricultural products such as corn, and how to raise animals, in particular the turkey: both are symbols of the anniversary. This day also marks the beginning of the Christmas period and New York is truly magical! Free lunch.

Afternoon dedicated to visiting Midtown, the beating heart of Manhattan, with the many places of interest starting from Time Square, the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Top of the Rock, to reach the Moma Museum of Modern Art, with one of the largest collections of masterpieces by Pollock, Warhol, Picasso, Van Gogh, to name a few.
