Bravo Maayafushi Resort (Maldives)

The resort is surrounded by a coral sand beach and stands out for its splendid strip of sand that faces South West and offers wonderful swimming with a view of the sunset. Over the course of the year the shape of the Maayafushi tongue changes in relation to the sea currents, giving ever new and fascinating geometries.

The area is particularly appreciated by lovers of the sea, relaxation and snorkelling. It is possible to admire a great variety of fish, stingrays, turtles and the countless marine species that inhabit the reef known for being one of the most beautiful.

From Maayafushi you can reach some of the most famous diving spots in the Atoll. Among these, also Maamingili where, at certain times of the year, it is also possible to spot whale sharks. Beach towels and sun loungers on the beach available to guests free of charge.

The services offered by Bravo Maayafushi help make your holiday even more special. You can decide to relax on the beach of fine white sand, swim to the coral reef, or choose to practice sports among the various options available: windsurfing, canoeing, water aerobics, muscle toning, gym, beach volleyball, five-a-side football pitch, tennis court with synthetic grass, mini golf course, table tennis, bowls. Paid services include catamaran, snorkeling equipment rental and boat trips and a PADI Diving Center that will guide guests during diving trips.

Very well known, the resort has a very refined environment. Attention to every little detail is a peculiar characteristic of all the village staff. The common areas, as well as the rooms, are furnished in typical Maldivian style and sand, wood and coral dominate in every corner. These elements make the resort a unique and authentic place.

Guests are welcomed in rooms equipped with every comfort, divided into:

• 60 Beach Bungalows  (maximum occupancy: 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child): some of which overlook the magnificent stretch of sand. They have a patio overlooking the beach or the sea and are characterized by a wooden roof covered with palm leaves
• 8 Overwater Bungalows  (minimum age for children: 10 years): they enjoy not only a limitless view of the ocean, but also direct access to the sea
• 7 Maldivian Garden Bungalow : located inside a garden bordered by coral walls
• 8 Standard Garden Rooms  located in a 2-storey building in the center of the island, covered by the shade of the greenery that overlooks the private garden and terrace and directly overlook the wonderful palm tree avenue of Maayafushi

All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, fan, minibar (for a fee), safe, evening room cleaning, hairdryer, small balcony or veranda and many of them have the characteristic partially open-air Maldivian bathroom.

The gastronomic offer of Bravo Maayafushi includes a main restaurant, completely renovated and expanded during 2020. The restaurant, located on the beach, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with buffet service, show cooking corner and themed evenings, offering Italian and international cuisine.

The main Bar, located on the beach and the Ocean Bar, located on the sea, allow Resort guests to enjoy snacks and drink refreshing drinks in total tranquility. All in typical Maldivian style. For a fee: espresso coffee, imported alcoholic beverages, bottled water, all soft drinks and beers in bottles and cans, ice creams and smoothies. Romantic dinners on the pier or on the beach are organised, upon request and for a fee.

The resort has a massage centre, the Maadhiga Spa, where you can be pampered with pleasant wellness treatments inspired by oriental techniques (paid service).

There is a boutique, telephone and Wi-Fi services are available (for a fee), and it is possible to rent local boats (dhoni) and/or go on excursions. The reception is open from 7am to 1am and there is satellite TV in the coffee shop.

It is possible to celebrate or renew the marriage with a symbolic ceremony. There is a doctor and a first aid point in the Resort at set times. Visa and Mastercard credit cards (non-electronic) are accepted. Finally, guests will be able to spend moments full of fun thanks to the Bravo entertainment staff, always present and ever present

intrusive, which offers the most diverse activities, designed to meet multiple needs, and dedicated to children, teenagers and adults.

All-inclusive formula

Bravo guests will be able to use the following services (in the designated places and times):

• welcome cocktail
• breakfast, lunch and dinner at the main restaurant with buffet service with show cooking
• snacks (sweet/savoury) during the day at the resort bars
• alcoholic and non-alcoholic aperitifs at the main bar
• typical Maldivian dinner and farewell dinner
• drinks (in carafe/glass): water, soft drinks, beer, house white wine, local spirits, cocktails made with local spirits, American coffee, tea, unlimited

Diving

The NAKAI Maayafushi Diving Base offers guests a PADI school and the experience of a staff who has an in-depth knowledge of the seabed of the Maldives. Each dive will be an exciting journey to discover the wonderful and colorful underwater world of the North Ari atoll, one of the richest in flora and fauna in the Maldives.

The center is equipped with a classroom for courses, a well-ventilated room for storing equipment and a photo/video center for divers. Outside the center a small veranda overlooking the beach serves as a meeting and relaxation point for guests. At the diving center it is possible to rent snorkelling and diving equipment and digital photo/video cameras.

Maldivian wedding

Couples who have the dream of celebrating their union on a coral beach in a magical atmosphere find the ideal place to make it come true at Maayafushi. The accredited Maldivian master of ceremonies will propose the wedding vows again, reading a document which, at the end of the ceremony, will be given to the couple. At the end of the ceremony, the newlyweds, accompanied by the sound of the boduberu, will set sail aboard a dhoni specially adorned with palm leaves and flowers, to sip an aperitif during the ritual tour of the island.

The ritual is symbolic and has no legal validity. The day of the event and the details will be agreed with the Resort Management also depending on the weather conditions at the time.

Animation

Transfers

• Seaplane : flights operated by the local airline TMA – Trans Maldivian Airways have a maximum capacity of 14/15 people; Departure waits of up to three hours from check-in are possible and sometimes, given the limited number of aircraft and weather conditions, waits can even be longer. Intermediate stopovers at other resorts are also possible. Seaplanes are not available in conjunction with international flights departing from Male airport before 8.30am and arriving after 3.05pm to and from Male.
• Fast boat : boat transfers to and from Male' airport are not available in combination with flights departing before 9.00am and arriving after 4.00pm to and from Male. Where possible, a customer who has booked a speed boat transfer can decide to have the seaplane transfer (with relative supplement).

PLEASE NOTE:

For seaplane and speed boat transfers, the transport of 20 kg of luggage and 5 kg of hand luggage per person (excluding infants) is permitted; any excess baggage will result in a charge of approximately USD 5 for each excess kg with direct payment at check-in.

TMA also reserves the right to transport the baggage at a time after the passenger's transfer, it is therefore advisable to bring a change of clothes and a swimsuit in your hand luggage for any waiting time. Furthermore, in the event of flight delays and/or adverse weather conditions that temporarily compromise connections with the islands, it may be necessary to spend an overnight stay in transit in Malé at the beginning and/or end of the stay.

The cost of unused overnight stays at Bravo Maayafushi will not be refunded, while the overnight stay in Malé will be paid by the Tour Operator. Our assistants and/or the staff of the local correspondent will guarantee the best assistance in order to minimize any inconvenience.
