A 15-day trip to the mysterious Buddhist kingdom of Tibet, which for centuries has fascinated travelers of all times with its fabulous monasteries and splendid views of the highest mountains in the world.

The circuit offers a complete visit to Lhasa and its surroundings, up to Gyantse and Shigatse in Tsang province.

The Tibetan plateau, closed to the south by the Himalayan chain, varies between 3500 and 5000 metres. The best time to visit is from late April to early November; July and August can be rainy, winters quite cold.

A trip to Tibet requires an excellent spirit of adaptation for the ailments caused by the high altitudes, for the long journeys on roads that are not always in good condition, for the modest accommodations outside Lhasa, for the simple cuisine. Local guides speak English.
